After 50 years of ministry and loving people of all different backgrounds and shapes and sizes, whether they are victorious or victims, no matter what's gone on in their life, I am convinced that what people need most is to realize that God created them to love, that He's always loved them, and it's His purpose and His plan and His will to continue to love them and bless them. once they trust him. I know it's hard sometimes because we get hurt, we get offended, we get betrayed, belittled, all kinds of things. And then there's medical problems that come into play and make things even more challenging for some of us. But God never stopped loving us. And even though He may love us the way we are imperfect, He still loves us just the same because we were created in His image from the inside out. We don't have to look the same. We just have to know that we are the same as far as God looks at us. He sees his created perfect work. He doesn't see our goof ups, our fails. He doesn't see the betrayals and heartbreaks. He sees us and he loves us. And he loves you, each of us. So today I have a special guest today. His name is Tim Millam. And Tim is like me. He's disabled. I was born with disabilities and my life is never ever. slowed down from them. I've always had them. But at 20 I gave my life to Jesus and he started my life over again and gave me hope. So in spite of birth defects, rheumatoid arthritis, and traumatic brain injury and all kinds of stuff, God has been enough and more. And when I read Tim's story, it spoke to my heart that he's another one like me. that didn't look in the mirror and say, I'm not good for anybody anymore. He looked in the mirror and said, God, what can you do with me? That's what he's been doing his whole life. And I'm excited to have him on the program. Now, Tim's going to speak a little slower because that's what he can do. So we're going to listen a little more carefully because we want to hear what he has to say from his heart. So Tim, I want to welcome you. I'm grateful you're here. Thank you for coming. Thank you David, pleasure is all mine. Would you tell us a little bit about yourself? Yesterday my injury occurred on June 6, 2010. It started off like any other Sunday before. We got up, we went to church. I went to Buddy's house to have lunch. Then we decided to do a little rubber practice and I took up steel rubbing in the second event and out of the steel sat my chair and went off light and unbeknownst to me the rubbers came under the horse of the ride probably. and then jerked the horse down. It wasn't a violent crash or drag or anything like that. It's just a weird lacer going over my brain. Went from one side of my head to the other. and calls the TV I. I was went to you in Cheyenne, Wyoming. I spent two weeks in ICU there. Then I transferred to Craig, where I visited the hospital in Inglewood, Colorado, where I spent almost four months. And then I've been home ever since then. I've gotten to speak at numerous rodeo churches. And even got to speak at giant friendly days to almost 2,000 people. And then I just was doing everything to make things stronger and better everyday. But still it's all, God has been good. I'm grateful that you're being so transparent and helping us understand how you got where you are. How did you find Jesus in the process? I accepted Jesus in 2001. So I was a pretty strong believer before my accident. And then my accident happened and I became a super super strong believer. The guy isn't real. He used to be real to me. But he used to be real and the way is off. Now he's just right there. and I was right there and I was willing to help me. Well, I'm grateful that you shared that, that you are already a believer. you know, people get the idea that if you give your heart to Jesus, you're going to be wrapped in bubble wrap and life is going to be easy. But there's no scripture that offers that. God tells us that He never leaves us or forsakes us. He's with us always. But that doesn't mean that we are exempted from hard times or difficult things. On the contrary, Jesus He promises us that we will have trouble in this world. But take heart because he has overcome the world. Exactly. So now that we know where you came from, and we know about your injury, and we know that you already love Jesus, what's going on in your world right now? Tell us about today. I'm getting better and stronger every single day. I haven't gotten back to where I want to be. But bye, Gallium, I'm not gonna get there. I am really close to walking by myself again. But I'm not close there yet. So what do you see God doing in your life in the next step, the next part of your journey? So the next part of my journey I hope is allowing me to sell a bunch of which is part of my business now where I sell really good coffee as strong a far one. I can do all things to Christ. One by myself and the other is composed of my mom's journaling and composed by my aunt. Okay, so what is the name of the first one? The first one, which is composed by my aunt, is In His Time. The second one, which is composed primarily of me, is a Diversional Book, 26 Day Diversional. Underbrook of Joshua called the battlefield. Well, and the other one is, what's the name of it? The battlefield. the battlefield. Yes sir. And if we wanted to get these books, could we get them off your website? Yes sir. Well, I'm going to plan on getting both of those books from my library. I find that I can make the letters bigger on the screen on my computer so it's easier for me to read. Yes, definitely. Might I add one more thing? So how old are you, I'm 35. 35. And the doctors, do they have any encouragement that you're going to get somewhat better than you are right now? I don't know. I don't listen to them. Because they're humans they don't know I am literally God ⁓ That's the answer I wanted. Doctors don't know everything, they're human. But God knows everything. I listened to the Master Physician. Yeah. Well, I'm so grateful that you came on my program and I'm grateful for you sharing your story. ⁓ What I wanted to do is, if you wanted to give advice so that when we are done with our interview... people are thinking about it, they're mulling it over. What would be the piece of advice you would want every listener, no matter how much hard times they've gone through, no matter what's gone on in their life before now, what should they take with them from this interview to encourage them to trust Jesus? What I would tell them is that we are all on the road to recovery. Whether it be a brain injury like you and I. or a bump on the knee. We are all on the road to recovery. And the only thing is who we recover with and who is there to help us all the time. We just got to reach out and grab a hold of him. He's there waiting for us. We are on the road to recovery, and Jesus is the great physician. So we will get healed. There's three kinds of healing. There's instant, there's eventual, and then there's the new body in heaven. How true is that? But we will all get healed, because if we gave our heart to Jesus, He's going to take us to heaven into a brand new body that's perfect in every way. Yes. And I'm sure... I'm sure you and I both look forward to the day when everything works the way it's supposed to. How sad would it be if this was the best we could ever imagine if we didn't ever happen to look forward to? Well, brother, I'm grateful for you being on here. ⁓ We're doing a shorter interview today because I wanted to give you a chance to tell your story. God, we ask you to comfort them, to be with them, to help them, to rise above whatever's ailing them. to give better and stronger. We love you Lord in Jesus' presence, Amen. Amen. Folks, ⁓ just a reminder of what you just heard. God touches us all. He loves us all. And when we go through tough times, whether it be physical, emotional, spiritual, He never leaves us. He never forsakes us. Philippians 4 13 our favorite verse, know, can do all things through Christ which strengthens me It means a lot to me because I was told by whole life. You'll never you'll never you'll never You can't you can't you can't and then I gave my heart to Jesus and found out I could Because he gave me the strength. didn't have on my own Yeah, and they told me I would never live to be 20 and I'm coming up to 74 So that just shows you that doctors mean well and they practice medicine on us. But the great physician, Jesus, heals us completely. Amen. And that's gives us hope. So no matter what you've gone through up until this moment, my friends, listen carefully because God has got a plan for you. And if you seek him, he will be found. If you want to know more about him, don't look at the people around you that are messing it up or not doing it right. Don't look for the hypocrites. They'll announce themselves. You just find out who Jesus is for yourself and build your own personal friendship with him and watch the amazing things that happen. Just keep seeking. He will be found. God bless you my friends.
